Meetings, Agendas & Minutes
Ordinary Council Meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month (unless an alternative date has been advertised) and are chaired by the Mayor, Councillor Val Schier. Meetings are generally held in the Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of the Council Administration Building at 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns.
Council also operates five Committees (listed below), which hold regular meetings.

Meetings are open to the public unless a closed session is declared. Agenda outlines are made available to the public at the time of release of the agendas to Councillors. This information is accessible via the website or from Council's Customer Service Centres. Publicly available Minutes are published on this site.
On meeting days, all open session reports are available on this website and can also be perused at Council's Spence Street Customer Service Centre.
