The Works and Services Department is responsible for: capital works preconstruction and delivery, infrastructure planning and specifications, works investigations, construction of roads, drains, parks and minor works, maintenance of roads, drains, parks and minor works, natural and cultural resources and noxious plant control, parks and reserves, swimming pools, sports liaison group, caravan parks, cemeteries, leisure venues, park bookings, camping grounds, Partnership Cairns management, facilities maintenance, design and survey services, disaster management, and management of the Council's fleet and metal fabrication services.
